Taking Care of Business, Workin' Overtime...

This is just the kind of day I love. I was up earlier than normal, and feeling kind of lazy. Well, not lazy really, but just not quite ready to dig into the meat of the day. So, I sipped coffee and watched Rooster Cogburn (John Wayne and Katharine Hepburn). Steve went off to work on a boat and I've been puttering around, doing laundry, cleaning the kitchen, just stuff. The sky is overcast and the wind is breezy. I'm in sweats and an ancient t-shirt, and I think my hair might have gotten the brush run through it. I feel at once serene and stirred.

I love days like this. I have much to do and many ideas, but I feel so calm inside.

And, you know what thought I had? This is beautiful. Pretty soon I'm going to work. Upstairs. In my studio. Still dressed in my grubbies (which will only get grubbier and dotted with ink and paint). I'll be able to listen to whatever I want to listen to. I get to do whatever I want to do - no one will be standing over me and questioning my time and effort. It's a Saturday and I'm excited to work.

Life is grand!
